WALT: Write a diary entry

This week, the children will be writing a diary entry from the point of a character who is dealing with others being unkind: https://www.literacyshed.com/for-the-birds.html 

Within our diary entries, we will be :

• Writing in the first person
• Beginning sentences in a variety of ways
• Carefully selecting vocabulary to show empathy with a character

If you could talk to your child about this at home, that would be fantastic.

We can't wait to read these diary entries!

This week all children will have the same 10 spellings: -ly words which do not follow the rules. We are repeating list 23 as we found them tricky last time...
